Your journey starts today by you taking the international flight from Bangkok Thailand to Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province of China, famed for being the home of cute giant pandas. Located in the west of Sichuan Basin and in the center of Chengdu Plain, the city covers a total area of 12.3 thousand square kilometers with a population of over 11 million. Guide and driver will pick you up and transfer to hotel. Tomorrow will be a whole world of discovery, so sleep tight.

The first leg of our Sichuan roadtrip kicks off this morning as we travel north abt 0.5hr-drive to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. At this base particularly, not only you get to see giant pandas, but baby giant pandas! Further north with 1hr-drive, we will visit Sanxingdui Museum with 13,000 alien-like ancient artifacts that shed light on the mysterious ancient Sichuan, Shu Kingdom culture. Afterwards, we drive abt 1hr to spend the night at Dujiangyan city.

Morning, visit Dujiangyan Irrigation System, the oldest and only surviving no-dam irrigation system in the world, and a wonder in the development of Chinese science. Cross the scary Anlan Suspension Bridge, and visit its historic sites, eg. Fulong Temple, Erwang Temple, etc. Then drive about 1hr to visit Mt Qingcheng, one of the four famous Taoist mountains in China, and it has enjoyed a reputation of Serenest Mountain under Heave since ancient time.

Morning, head south abt 3hrs to visit the renowned Leshan Giant Buddha, standing at 71m-tall, carved out of a hill, which dates back to the 8th century. A magnificent sight to be hold. After lunch, drive to Mt Emei for the night.

Full day sightseeing in Mt Emei, one of the Four Great Buddhist Mountains in China. The mountain combines authentic Buddhist culture and diverse nature with its up to 28 temples and monasteries that dot in the tranquil mountain sides from foot to the summit. After drive to the tourist center, we will change to shuttle. We will take shuttle and cable to the Golden Summit, hike around, then descend by cable and shuttle. Afterwards, drive back to Chengdu.

After so many mountains and temples, we are to enjoy the city life of Chengdu today. Around 10am, we depart from your hotel to Tianfu Square with General Mao’s Statue. Then visit the nearby Chengdu Museum with nearly 200,000 objects in its collections covering a time period from the Neolithic period to that of the Republic of China. Next, Visit Jinli Ancient Street. Scroll around and try out local snacks for lunch. At least an hour chill time dedicates to enjoy coffee or tea or bubble tea here. Then we will go to take photos of Giant Panda Sculpture Hanging on IFS building in Chunxi Road. And window-shopping (or shopping), at the fancy pretty commercial yet artistic Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li shopping center.
