Still used to control water level of the Min River, this scenic area is studded with historic temples, forested hills, hilltop pagodas as well as coursing water. From the entrance of the scenic area, the new and wide Path of Levee-building Feat will take you shortly to Temple of Dragon-taming. At Water-watching Pavilion in its rear, your eyes can reach as far as Flying Sand Weir and Fish Mouth Levee, with waters in Min River thundering through Bottle-neck Channel right under your nose. Pass the time-honored Chain Bridge of Water Taming and you are standing before Two Kings Temple.

Dujiangyan Ancient Town is overflowing with historical-looking store fronts hawking everything from souvenirs and clothes to tea and food. The history of the town can be traced back to the Southern and Northern Dynasties. It was once the starting point of the Ancient Tea Horse Road. Check out the defensive walls of Ming Dynasty and the mosque.
